The Greatest Russia 

Russia is the largest country in the world, covering more than an eighth of the Earth’s land area: 17,075,400 square kilometres (6,592,800 sq mi), 

Russia land borders with the following countries (counterclockwise from northwest to southeast): Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania (via Kaliningrad Area), Poland (via Kaliningrad Area), Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. 

Russia extends across the whole of northern Asia and 40% of Europe. 

It spans 11 time zones and incorporates a great range of environments, landforms. 

Russia has the world's greatest reserves of mineral and energy resources and is considered an energy superpower. It has the world's largest forest reserves and its lakes contain approximately one-quarter of the world's unfrozen fresh water.

142 mln people live in Russia, the ninth largest world population with lots of nations and ethnic groups. 

By all means Russian culture is one of the richest and multifaceted, especially, regarding art, literature, poetry, music, ballet, opera, iconography, cinema, religion, cuisine etc. 

Russians have great traditions of hospitality and a very special sense of humor.
